Rosters: Who’s Playing? And For Which Team?
Rosters? Rosters? We don’t need no stinking rosters — just kidding … we have them right hear for you. Yes, we rock! Thank you for noticin’! (Click on any pic to view it larger.)
The South’s Gonna Do It Again?
Looks like a lot of talent is on tap! Johnny is playing on the “South” team who will be wearing BLACK Jerseys.
The talent isn’t saved just for the players either! TSL has assembled some of the best teachers and instructors in the professional football community. All of the coaches and coaching staff for The Spring League have NFL experience.
Head Coach Terry Shea
Head Coach for the South is Terry Shea. Shea is a former coach and player. He is known for coaching future NFL draft prospects. Most recently he worked with Robert Griffin III “RG3” (2nd overall pick 2012), Blaine Gabbert (10th overall pick 2011), Sam Bradford (1st overall pick 2010), Matthew Stafford (1st overall pick 2009), and Josh Freeman (Kansas State: 17th overall pick 2009 whom Shea later brought to the Brooklyn Bolts in 2015). Shea also trained and developed current college quarterbacks Collin Klein (Kansas State) and Tommy Rees (Notre Dame).
Shea has an impressive resume. He started his career playing college ball at the University of Oregon, and coached at Rutgers University and San Jose State and several other universities. He also coached the British Columbia Lions. Big East Coach of the Year in 1998. Shea recruited and coached future NFL players L.J. Smith, Mike McMahon, Mike Barr, Nate Jones, and Reggie Stephens.
From 2001 to 2003, he was the Quarterbacks Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2004, he became the Offensive Coordinator for the Chicago Bears. Shea returned to the Kansas City Chiefs, once again as the Quarterbacks Coach in 2005. Later he coached for the Miami Dolphins and the St. Louis Rams.
She has coached mostly in alternative pro football leagues since 2011, some of which are the United Football League and the Fall Experimental Football League.

Lots to Look Forward to!
Y’all remember RB, Lache Seastrunk? We sure do … We saw him play at Baylor the year Johnny won the Heisman and that’s about all we’re going to say about that. 🤣 Lache is a dynamic player! No doubt he is NFL-level talent, if he puts in the work!
Who are you excited to see — besides Johnny?
Can’t Make It? Where to Watch
All games will be aired live on on “Bleacher Report Live,” a Turner Sports entity.
Turner has not yet announced pricing for B/R Live but said it will have “flexible pricing options” for direct access to live games on a per-event or subscription basis. The over-the-top streaming service will be available for iOS and Android devices and on the web, with connected-TV platforms in the works slated to launch in time for The Spring League games. B/R Live will initially be available for free to help draw viewers to the platform. That’s right! Free!
The first event available through the service will feature Johnny Manziel’s debut in The Spring League on Saturday, April 7. B/R Live will launch on iOS, Android and the Web. (Sorry Android users — we couldn’t find a link for it).
Android peeps! We found it! Download B/R Live Here.
Read the entire press release here.
Visit B/R Live website and learn more about how to stream here.
It took us awhile, but THIS is the site that you can theoretically go to watch the games stream live. Will it work tomorrow? Who knows, but this is pretty close!
Watch Johnny and the South Vs. the North Game Here (like when it is time — not now) but you can still see the set up, which is cool. This game starts at 4:30 pm.
Note: The games are listed on the left of the screen, so check and make sure you are on the right one!
Pre-Game? Post Game? Where’s the Party?
With the venue change and date changes planning a pre-game fell into the “too hard to do category” but we sure hope to see lots of JMAN FANS in attendance! Unfortunately, Tailgating is not permitted at Kelly Reeves Stadium either, but we ought to be able to have some good ol’ fashioned clean fun watching our favorite QB show the world what he is made of! We hope to see you there! #TXlovesJFF
In the meanwhile if you are interested in connecting with other Johnny Manziel Fans, please consider finding us on Facebook or Twitter! Pass the word and be sure to invite your friends who love Johnny too!
