Johnny Manziel has re-hired Erik Burkhardt, and buzz continues to generate regarding his comeback.

Ian Rappaport confirmed there is “real interest from teams at the Combine.”

 

This news follows an update in Dallas, where Johnny reiterated “Everything has been going extremely smoothly and my life is trending upward, so I don’t even want to let this get anywhere near the rabbit hole that you were describing. This situation is in my hands… I need to get my life in order. These are the things I need to do.”

Coach Manziel?
Johnny Manziel was in Miami Sunday morning, coaching and mentoring kids who will likely be headed off to play college football soon. These future quarterbacks were attending The Opening Miami.

 

Johnny shared a few photos from the event on Instagram with the caption: “Wasn’t that long ago I was at these camps just struggling to get one single offer. All about the competition and getting better each day.”

Johnny was also shown giving individual tips to various high school aged attendees.

Johnny shared, “Say what you want, but as long as ONE KID learns from my mistakes then I’ve done something to shift the Culture. This game can take you places you only dream of and it’s a shame I disrespected it….NEVER AGAIN. Thanks for allowing me to come get some work in @elite11 enjoyed it,’ Manziel wrote under the second photo.

 

The Elite 11 regional camps run from 9:30 am til 4 pm and provide a series of various instructional drills, accuracy competitions, routes-on-air and a final two-minute drill.

High achievers may be invited to The Elite 11 Finals in June. Selected quarterbacks will again compete to earn a roster spot at the Nike+ Football The Opening Finals at Nike World Headquarters held in Beaverton, Oregon.
