Spring League CEO Brian Woods reached out to Johnny Manziel with an offer to join the new football league. Johnny and defensive end Greg Hardy are among those who have received invitations to participate.
According to some sources, a league representative said Johnny is still mulling the offer, although this has NOT been confirmed. Hardy and former NFL tight-end Kellen Winslow II have already committed to playing.
Here is a copy of the letter that was sent to Johnny via email:

According to The Spring League’s official website, they offer a four-team league that will feature six games from from April 5 through April 26. The teams will consist of veteran NFL free agents, and the deadline to apply to play is March 15. All players in the new league will be subjected to nightly check-ins and a USADA drug test.
The Spring League was formulated to showcase former NFL and other players who are interested in playing in the NFL. The league is soliciting participation from all 32 NFL teams.
