Incredible

Dallas Judge Roberto Canas has scheduled Johnny Manziel to appear in court May 5 and his bond was set at $1,500 for a misdemeanor assault charge.

Judge Canas mentioned that he is fine with Manziel turning himself in sometime next week, according to ESPN’s John Barr. Then on May 5, Judge Canas will take some time to detail the conditions of the bond to Manziel.

One of Johnny’s lawyers, Robert Hinton, mentioned that Johnny likely won’t make an appearance in Dallas until the day of the hearing or shortly before. Mr. Hinton also said that they were hoping to avoid a “media circus”.

In a statement to The Associated Press on Tuesday, Hinton related that the way the grand jury process and indictment have proceeded so far, is indicative of problems with the case and that Johnny will plead “not guilty”.

“If this were Johnny Smith, the district attorney’s office would have declined to accept the case, in my judgment. This is not a very credible case. As a matter of fact, it’s incredible. There’s just not much to it.”

We tend to agree, sir!
As always, we support johnny in the Manziel family in our thoughts go out to all involved.
