That’s right. We support Johnny Manziel.

According to the paparazzi/news media, everything Manziel is chaos right now. How much of this is true? Nobody knows … but Johnny.

The abundance of non-factual news reports and the ensuing negative media frenzy over Manziel has culminated in an abundance of misinformation.  Unfortunately many people have made incorrect judgments regarding Manziel based off of what they THINK they know from these inaccurate reports and rumors. Instead of taking time to get the whole story, people buy into the media garbage. Granted, Manziel leads them on a merry chase, but who wouldn’t?

It is important to keep in mind that not every news report is accurate, well-researched or based on verifiable sources. Some of these “news reports” come from impromptu blogs.  Many other news reports are based off someone else’s report.  Not every outlet researches their articles and some outlets simply regurgitate news, without fact checking or any sort of verification.  So once one outlet incorrectly reports something, this enables other outlets to quote the original as a source in an attempt to garner legitimacy.  Eventually the rumors become engrained as fact in the minds of reporters and news agencies, coaches, analysts and other decision makers.

And we hope that our viewers will take the time to check facts first, and be aware that not every outlet is reputable.  We also hope our viewership will join us in supporting this young man who is an amazing athlete, and also an amazing, thoughtful person. Regardless of what you may have been led to believe about Johnny, the bottom line is he’s human … Something we all ought to identify with … And yes, support.
